HOLA! Mi Casa Es Sú Casa.

Hola! Mi nombre es B.R! Alright everyone, in my Espanol Uno (Spanish 1) class, we have been discussing places in una casa and activities we may do in these different spaces for our Action Project, AP for short. We are also covering the AR, ER, and IR verbs. We were first required to provide a rough draft drawing of a home (from scratch). Mine is provided below: B.R.'s House, Rough Draft, 2023 After completing my rough draft, we were to make a final draft of our home using a digital platform. I used a game called Roblox, in Roblox there is a game called Bloxburg where you can build and design just about anything! I've displayed it below. Below I will describe activities you can do in each room of a house, in Spanish: Dining Room:  lavar lamesa apagar la luz prender la luz comer en el comedor Kitchen: lavar los platos  prender la luz apagar la luz Reciclar Bedroom: ordenar sacudir los muebles las tareas domésticas barrer el suelo pasear la aspiradora abrir la ventana planchar l

Code It, Load It, Learn It

Hello! I'm B.R. In my coding workshop we were assigned to trinket.io and required to create two codes; one of which we were to design a functioning calculator and with the other, we were to create a code in which we collected information from whomever is using it and format an email to send to their alderman about a topic or issue they are passionate about within their neighborhood. below is my calculator: following my calculator is the formatted email code: After creating our codes, we wrote personalized reflections. In my reflection I stated, " To begin, creating an email was very simple, it took me a bit longer than my peers because I wanted to create a conversation between code and interactor. I really like how straight forward creating this code was (it didn’t make my brain hurt or leave me confused). As for the calculator, when I started, I was completely confused, I wasn’t sure how or where to start. I relied on the feedback and help of both my peers and my teach

Out With It!

Hello, I'm B.R!      This term my STEAM class is focusing on energy. We have covered the 6 main biomasses, (crop residue, manure, sewage, trash, wood) fossil fuels, combustion, WORK (motion, heat, & light), greenhouse gases, and much more. Recently, my teacher tried to create coal by burning wood. It was unsuccessful due to a lack of oxygen within the homemade furnace.       For our AP (Action Project) we were instructed to create a slideshow about a country (of our choice)'s consumption of one of the 3 fossil fuels. I chose to do a presentation of Yemen's consumption of oil (kb) from (2015-2021) --doing the same for the U.S. Once done, I compare the data and predict each country's future consumption (2024-2030), comparing them once again. The hardest part of this project was creating the graph predictions.

Who Are You?

In my Humanities class, titled "Who Am I?", we explore many different forms of identification. Our main focus is race, ethnicity, culture, and heritage.  We have consistently defined each word throughout this term.  My class and I watched a film called Yellow Rose;  this film is about a young Filipino girl who was 'undocumented'. She had a great passion for making music and created songs that talked about her experiences in American or more specifically, Texas. This movie goes into greater depth of how Rose identified--Filipino American. This is just one example of the few films we've watched. For our AP (Action Project), we interviewed at least one relative. We had to create a series of questions to ask about our relatives’ how they identify in terms of race or ethnicity. We’d also discussed how water has played a large role in racial discrimination—a few questions could be asked regarding this as well. I interviewed my great grandmother. For privacy reasons, I
